In many disciplines, storing data can be a problematic issue as there is often not a predefined schema to which the data can easily conform. If there exists a schema it is often out of date or so dynamic that updating any data storage mechanism becomes very time consuming.

This project was intended for the use by an Archaeology department to facilitate to storage of data about digs and excavations. For example, the objects all have metadata and are related to a particular dig, find, location. The existing data is organised an a hierarchy but this is proving not to offer the flexibility required. The aim is to restructure the data into a network of data rather than a tree/hierarchy.
